| Sreyashi
Dey and the Srishti Dance Company
Sreyashi Dey is extensively trained in both Odissi as well as Bharata Natyam dance styles. Sreyashi is an acclaimed solo dancer, and she is also the founder and lead performer in "Srishti", a dance group specializing in the Odissi style, which originates from the north eastern Indian state of Orissa. | Rajan
Sachadeva Rajan Sachadeva is the founder and director of the Detroit Institute of Indian Music, and is an accomplished sitar player trained in the gayaki and tantrakari styles. Gayaki is an instrumental performance style which resembles the human voice, and is the hallmark of Imdad Khani gharana (school of music) where Dr. Sachadeva was trained. Khanapurkar Amol Khanapurkar is an acclaimed tabla artist, performing both Indian classical and World Fusion music. Amol masters both the Baayan (bigger drum, for bass) and the Daayan (smaller drum, for higher pitches). He practices a style of tabla playing which combines four prominent tabla gharanas (Farokkhabad, Azrada, Delhi, and Purab).
