| Glimpses of India A glimpse into the diversity of a 5000 year old culture ... |
| Hands of the dancer become lotus blossoms. Eyes reveal a plethora of emotions. Feet strike in unison with the complex rhythms prevalent in the Indian musical tradition. Here, dance is not just another art form, but a mode of communicating the ancient culture and traditions of India. Traditional and folk dances will be just some of the "glimpses showcased at the cultural program, Glimpses of India. The audience will also experience fusion music, an eclectic blend of Indian classical music and contemporary jazz. Other highlights include a yoga demonstration, illustrating complex poses and their health benefits; a visual journey across India; and children's activities before the program. Perhaps the most eagerly anticipated "glimpse" will be our presentation of an authentic, home cooked, Indian meal for you to savor. The Arizona chapter of ASHA, an non-profit organization working to provide basic education to underprivileged children in India, is proud to present "Glimpses of India" on Saturday, January 30th at the Camelback High School Auditorium at 4612 N. 28th St, Phx.
