Asha-Athens meeting

Badminton Tournament
Tabling at Tate unavailable. We can still hand out hand-bills (quarter-page flyers) and advertise.
Thursday b/w 11 and 2. People availabe - Shruti, Pooja, Drishti/Foram?, Prachi .. who else?
Anita will print about 100 copies (25 sheets), Shruti will make some by hand.. Others might volunteer to print/make a few. Total needed: 200.

Ordering Trophies - DEVAKI, how long does it takes to get it made? Can we get something written on it? Can we return it in case we don't use it?
Decided to order 3 (or 4?) trophies for 3 categories: Men's Doubles, Men's Singles, Women's Singles
Certificates to Winners and Runner-ups. (Where can we print them? Abhyuday is out of town until Monday)
On the day of BT - 
Water set up beforehand
6 Referees: Kapil, Prachi, Puja, Shruti, Drishti, Foram (all referees meet Badminton Club on Wednesday)
Registration (will sit at the registration table for the most part..until people stop coming. Collect money and get participants' information) - Sara?
Overseer (Take care of overall scores and winners from each game... walk around and make sure things are running smoothly) - 

Format - Divide the participants in one category into 3 to 5 groups (or whatever number they are divisible by), have them play within that group. The winner from each group will compete with the winner from another group in semi-finals...and winners from semi-finals will compete in finals. Kapil to go over format ideas with the Badminton Club tomorrow.

Advertisement - 
Everyone try to persuade their f! riends to participate. Email them personally or talk to them.
Submitted ad to Red&Black and Athens Banner-Herald. Flagpole costs money.
Prachi will go talk to the 9:05 badminton class tomorrow.

Student Account number - Does anybody know our Student Account Number? Abhyday doesn't have it.. SOWMYA or YASH, do either of you have the number?
