Asha-Athens meeting minutes 10.9.07

Attendees: Puja, Foram, Shruti, Yash, Drishti, Prachi

Harsha's visit to Athens for the movie talk: 
Prachi to check with Prasanna if Harsha is okay staying at someone's place. 
Talk to Atlanta chapter if they want to have him visit them as well and want to split the travel cost etc.
Movie date: 14th November. Movie: Salaam Bombay. Promote the movie. Good opportunity to talk to someone who works at the grassroots level and learn about issues and Asha from his experiences. 

Badminton Tournament:
Got reservation for Nov 2nd, 5 - 10:30. 
Change the date to Nov 9th or later. And get two days (Friday and Sunday)
Purchase birdies OR
Check with badminton club if they have shuttles.
If they have referees. (SARA, can you take care of these two?)

KAPIL put up the registration form on the website. Modify the registration form and guidelines according to the information provided. 

Prachi to compile a list of rules of badminton and tournament/event regulations and send it out on the group. All this to go up on the website. 

Foram has the flyer template ready. Needs date info in order to finish it. Shruti, Drishti and Foram to take care of publicity for the most part. ABHYUDAY, will you be able to print flyers in color? Everyone can take some flyers and post them wherever they can. We need to have the flyer ready before this Saturday (10.13.07, ISA Garba)
Publicize on Facebook (Shruti/Foram, can you create a facebook event once things are finalized?)

Cricket Tournament (maybe for Spring)
Puja talk to Sid Kelam aboutt cricket for a Spring event.

Diyas:
Check with NJ or ATL if they really need 200 diyas that they have ordered, if not, if we can have about 50. If not, order from India.

Everyone needs to READ and VOTE. 
Discuss in the next meeting. Everyone needs to be present at this meeting and have read the document beforehand in order to discuss it.
