Minutes of meeting held on 01 Aug 07

 1. Campus resource fair :
To be held on August 10 between 11.45 and 1.45 pm
 Ashwini- to check if old display board and handouts are with her.
Prachi and Sara- to prepare/update display board on Friday. Venue and time to be fixed and mailed to the group. 
Abhyudhay to print pictures of the book grant project for the display board.
 
Volunteers for the event:
10.45- 11.45 am (set up)- Abhyudhay
11.45- 12.45 pm – Swapna
12.45-1.45 pm – Yash, Sara
 Volunteers please e-mail back about availability during these time slots.


 2. WAH (e-mail from Alivia)
Nominate a WAH representative.
Ashwini has volunteered to do it.
 Send donor e-mail list to WAH team for a single mail on Aug 15
We don’t have a e-mailing list. We however have addresses to which we should send information about WAH.
 Send e-mail database of ASHA volunteers to the WAH team for a update of WAH every 10 days.
Some of the e-mails of volunteers are official (to be used for many more years). Hence, it might not be apprecia! ted if this database was provided to others. Instead Alivia (or anyone from the WAH team) should subscribe to the asha-athens group. Thus they will be able to send updates about WAH now and then, unsubscribe at the end of WAH.
 Sara to convey these to Alivia.


 3. Rakhi (Aug 28th)
Sowmya/Ashwini to confirm whether Rakhis are available with us. (About 20 Rakhis)
If not,
      Order Rakhi’s from ASHA
      Request rakhi’s from other chapters
Try to order them from India (through Ashwini’s friend) 
 Rakhis to be sold possibly during Fall Fling (Aug 24 th tentatively) or at Mala Melvin’s store.
ASHA newsletter:
Try to send out a newsletter about Nrityanjali. (volunteers who are willing to take up this responsibility are needed).

Cash at hand:
Abhyudhay has $800 (as cash) available with him now. He feels that some, if not all, of this amount should be sent to ASHA central. 
Opinion needed about how much should be sent. Also, will ASHA central give personal reimbursements for expenditures?


Other matters:
Ordering merchandise for Fall fling.
Organizing new student orientation just after fall fling (tentative date to be fixed)
Ideas for fundraisers fall fundraiser: Manning the food stall during the football games – Sara to find out more.
Charity dinner: possibly for garba (opinions needed)
Ideas for spring fundraisers: Marathon- to try target the non-Indian crowd.
