Asha's Purpose

Asha for Education is a secular organization dedicated to change in India by focusing on basic education in the belief that education is a critical requisite for socio-economic change. Asha has supported more than 385 different child education projects spanning 24 states in India. Since inception, Asha has disbursed nearly $4,000,000 to projects. In 2002 alone, Asha chapters raised and disbursed more than $1,000,000 to over 200 projects. Hi everyone and welcome to my first (functioning) website!!! In case you didn't know (and even if you did), I’m currently training to run the Atlanta Marathon. Yes you read correctly, all 26.2 miles of the marathon on November 23rd! I'm currently halfway through my training and I feel great! For the first time in my life I'm running double digit distances and I'm getting faster every time. This is truly an incredible experience. I am training alongside some great people from the Team Asha student group at my school Georgia Tech. Asha is an Indian charity organization which raises funds to help educate underprivileged children in India. I am running not only to achieve personal goals but to assist Asha in the great work they do. I'd appreciate donations from you on behalf of this cause and of course I'll return the favor by keeping you up to date on my training! :P Thanks for you help and Thanks Team Asha for providing this incredible opportunity to me.

Running History
I've been running off and on for most of my 26 years. I've participated in 5k and 6k events but nothing approaching 26.2 miles!!
