Asha's Purpose

Asha for Education is a secular organization dedicated to change in India by focusing on basic education in the belief that education is a critical requisite for socio-economic change. Asha has supported more than 385 different child education projects spanning 24 states in India. Since inception, Asha has disbursed nearly $4,000,000 to projects. In 2002 alone, Asha chapters raised and disbursed more than $1,000,000 to over 200 projects. Profile

Currently, I'm Graduate Student in the Health Systems Program at Georgia Tech. I'm doing this run for two important reasons: to help the educational needs of underprivileged children in India and a challenge for myself. To me, education is extremely important and I would like everyone to have the same privileges I had.

I DID IT!!!
On Thanksgiving Day @ 9:35 am, I finished my first half-marathon. It was definitely long and hard. Luckily the weather was nice: mid 50s and sunny. It only took me 2 days to recover from the race. Thanks all of you of for donating!!
