  Profile
Talking about myself is generally the most difficult thing for me. Let me make some conscious efforts to explain the cause, for which I am bothering myself to run the half marathon in Atlanta, the coming Thanksgiving day. I don't know the exact number of the underprivileged children in India but I am sure there are many, who are deprived of even the basic primary education. I am also aware that many of you, in one or the other way are already putting efforts to help them (I was glad to know this while talking with many of you regarding the same). We can make a collective effort to positively impact our society. Here, I am getting this opportunity, where with your generous support I can do something good for our society. The opportunity comes from the non-profit organization ASHA (www.ashanet.org) through participation in the half marathon this November. It is natural for you to think what the relation is, between me running the half marathon and the opportunity to help the needy. Well, I took a pledge to raise about $1000 for ASHA by which I will be able to contribute in a small way to a great cause and be privileged to run under their banner. I am quite positive about the impact of this amount towards the education of the less privileged children. So I sincerely urge you to support this noble cause and help me in my efforts to raise this seemingly large sum.

Please bear in mind, “NO HELP IS SMALL” and believe me, even the smallest contribution is going to make a big difference. So I earnestly request you to contribute as much as you can (the amount you are comfortable with). Your contributions will not only help the children but will also keep me motivated to help from my side as far as possible.

Remember, your contributions can change lives!

Contributing to ASHA is easy. Please use the link "Donate" on this page. Donations can be made by credit cards or checks. If you are a working professional, please take out some time to find if your Company matches donations made by its employees. In case your company is on the donor’s list, your contributions could be doubled. God has been grateful enough to give us this opportunity to help others, less fortunate. Friends! let’s Help, let’s Contribute, let’s make a Difference!

PS: Please let me know whenever you make a contribution. This will help me in updating my fundraising log. It would also be very helpful to me if you can forward confirmation email from ASHA. Fundraising logging is little delayed on the website so it takes sometime before I can log the contributions.
