Asha for Education is a secular organization dedicated to change in India by focusing on basic education in the belief that education is a critical requisite for socio-economic change. Asha has supported more than 385 different child education projects spanning 24 states in India. Since inception, Asha has disbursed nearly $4,000,000 to projects. In 2002 alone, Asha chapters raised and disbursed more than $1,000,000 to over 200 projects. Why am I running a marathon?

I am trying to raise some funds by running which will go towards Asha's educational projects in India. My nation India has given me all I wanted: Happy childhood, good education which all kids in India can't get. I wanted to return something back to my country. How was my run
I did very well in the half marathon. I finished running the 13 miles in 2 hours and 10 minutes which is exactly 10 minutes a mile. Around 8000 people ran the race out of which nearly 800 people ran full marathon (26 miles). We started running in the morning at 7AM. Although it rained heavily at the start of the run, filling our shoes with water, I managed to run reasonably well, without getting any cramps or blisters.
