Considering that you have found yourself over here - you would know that I am a PhD student at Georgia Tech. I am taking part in this half-marathon to raise money for Asha. Asha is an organization that supports education of underprivileged children in India among other activities. I believe that donating money to Asha is a great way to have a benficial impact on underprivileged children. I hope you will support Asha.
Running History
Sept. 2, 2007:
I was not a regular runner till I started training for the half-marathon as part Team Asha. Starting from three miles I am now able to run 6 miles now in about 1hr 10mins. I am hoping to complete the half-marathon at 11 minutes per mile.
Sept 16, 2007:
Ran 8 miles for the first time. Managed a decent pace - completed the run in 1hr 23mins. The shorter and quicker runs in the week are helping.
Sept 16, 2007:
Ran 10 miles today. Managed to complete it in 1hr 36mins. Though it was an easier run, the terrain was pretty flat.
Oct 20, 2007:
8 Miles today - very hilly and so I've been cursing every incline I have had to go up today.
Oct. 27, 2007:
10 miles today - this one was along the river. Got it done in about 1hr 38mins - took longer water breaks though. |
