Asha for Education is a secular organization dedicated to change
in India by focusing on basic education in the belief that education
is a critical requisite for socio-economic change.
Asha has supported more than 385 different child education
projects spanning 24 states in India. Since inception, Asha has disbursed
nearly $4,000,000 to projects. In 2002 alone, Asha chapters raised and disbursed more

HOWDY! If you are at this page, I am hoping you have made the decision to support my running and make-the-world-a-better-place efforts! I haven't chosen a cause for which I believe so strongly since my Team in Training efforts for cancer. But, leave it to me to fall in love with something else!
This time I have become actively involved in an organization called Asha, meaning "hope" in Hindi, and we raise funds to support education mostly in India for children who would otherwise have no means to it. It's an amazing group of dedicated students and young professionals.
You can help by donating here! By donating, not only do you support my crazy running endeavors (this time only the half marathon--phew!) but also you can sleep more soundly at night knowing at least one more life has been given the opportunities that we are granted everyday.
Remember no amount is too small, and just give what you can afford. A lot of "little" donations add up!
