Asha for Education is a secular organization dedicated to change India by focusing on basic education in the belief that education is a critical requisite for socio-economic change. Asha has supported more than 800 different child education projects allover India. Asha has disbursed nearly $15,000,000 to projects in last 16 years. In 2008 alone, Asha chapters raised and disbursed more than $3,000,000 to over 300 projects. I love to run because I love to think about things when I am on the road, all by myself. There is just too much distraction around me, too much emails, fliers, notices, advertisements, post-it notes. I want to be free from them so I can really contemplate on what is important in life.
It is so great for me to be able to run, with others helping me plan routes and doing water stops, all the while run for a great cause.
My last Marathon time was 5hrs. I have ran the Ekiden Relay Race in 2009 and 2008, Wonderful Days of Winter in 2009, Peachtree Road Race in 2008
