Asha for Education is a secular organization dedicated to change India by focusing on basic education in the belief that education is a critical requisite for socio-economic change. Asha has supported more than 800 different child education projects allover India. Asha has disbursed nearly $15,000,000 to projects in last 16 years. In 2008 alone, Asha chapters raised and disbursed more than $3,000,000 to over 300 projects. Short distance (2-3 mi) runner since 2003 (Athens, GA). Long distance running 2005-2006 (4-5mi). I've started training for the 13 mile run that will take place in Nov '09. Training is moving along at a steady yet exciting pace. Wish me luck!!!
