Asha & You

How do I join Asha?
There are number of ways you can participate. You can become an active volunteer wherein you would regularly attend chapter meetings, take on various responsibilities such as co-ordinating projects, event organization, publicity etc.

You can be a events volunteer wherein you volunteer your time during fund-raisers, attend a few important meetings and keep in touch with the chapter's activities.

If volunteering will not work for your schedule, you can simply keep in touch with us, hear about our activities and the projects we support and give us your feedback. The Asha-Austin mailing lists would keep you posted on our activities.

How do I donate?
Donations can be made through credit card, personal check or internet checks. Click the donate button and you will be taken through the donation process. All donations are tax deductible and receipts would be sent out to all donors.

All contributions to Asha are tax-deductible under IRS Code Section 501(c)3.

How can I contribute for a specific project?
If there is a project that appeals to you, you can make a specific contribution towards that project. The Asha-Stars program is designed to allow a small group of individuals to take direct responsibility for a project and make a long term impact on it. Details about this program can be found at the Asha-Stars website.

Where can I get more information?
There is a lot of documentation on Asha's activities and projects on the main Asha website. For more information, email austin@ashanet.org.

Asha for Education is a non-profit organization dedicated to socio-economic change in India. We believe that education is a critical element of socio-economic change.

In keeping with this focus, our volunteers get involved in identifying, researching, owning, and sustaining projects that target basic education.
