Everest Fundraiser- Santhosh
-Santhosh and Gaurav attended the conference call with Asha wide Everest
fundraisers team on last week.
-Need 3 to 4 volunteers for this fund raising
-Creating texas regional team(Asha Dallas,Houston,Austin) to raise funds for
basecamp mountaineering.
- Gaurav to ask the Asha SV -How much funds need to be raised per climber like
$100 per foot for the base camp?
- Santhosh to send email to Asha austin group to idenitfy the volunteers
interested this program
- Everest Fund raiser generates more profit 10 time as investment
Asha Wide Conference -Chicago- Minutes by Sanjeev
-Right to information law Org offers all citizen to get any information on
government projects/procedures/processes,
Citizenship education,Awareness etc
GSK project evaluation- Unable to discuss as murali was not available at the
meeting
Support a teacher program- Vinod
-Discussed the website for the SAT program
-This program supports a teacher from "Shristhi"school that works on
Autism
-Publicity coordination
- Vinod to send email flyers to all groups
-Vinod to add banner on the Asha main website as well as other links.
-Santosh to prepare list of schools for autistic children and related orgs
-Santhosh to get booklets about the Asha and other programs.
-Voting on Financial details for Support a Teacher
program outcomes with 100% positive results
- Agreed to raise $3600 for 6 months for 5 teachers.
BJSA Project coordinator - Gaurav and Harpreet singh would replace Raman and sriram ,though sriram would be still in loop with the donors
ASS project coordinator- Need to get one more volunteer apart from neelima.
Banyan - Santhosh need to setup conference call to get more information on the
Block printing/Tailoring unit as part of Asha sponsored vocational training
program. Invite sanjeev to the call.
Treasurer- Anita will be the Asha Austin treasurer ,
starting from this week onwards. Raman to update Asha
Treasury group and AMD/DELL/MICROSOFT matching org with these changes.
WAH updates- Anita to send minutes to the group.
