Gauri presented the basic facts and answered Q & A.

Resolution to ask UT to withdraw all support/interaction with DOW chemicals.

Major request is for clean up of disaster site. Hgh levels of mercury and lead in ground water. Continuing health problems.

Settlement for victims done. Main goal is to get DOW to accept responsibility for cleaning up the site. DOW does not accept responsibility even though they bought union carbide.

1000 signatures by students so far.

There are cases against warren Anderson for  culpable homicide.

DOW contribution to UT is 4 million dollars.

The resolution was read out and discussed.

Does Asha support AID and other organizations in passing the resolution on the Bhopal disaster?  Decision to support the resolution.
