1. 10K Training Discussion - Jith/Murali

Jith has friends who are interested in running for the 10K program

What is the start time?

We will need info-sessions? What are the dates we are looking at?

Jan 5th is the start of the Rogue training program, if we do our own training program then we will probably start by Jan 19th

We should have the program launched even if it means we have 5-10 runners

Posters - we need to make some changes and launch the program

 

Action Items:

Look at website updates that need to be made - Gaurav to check with Sharanya

Need to decide dates for the info session - Jith to contact friends.

There is a library in the north near Parmer and Mopac - we can set up meeting/info-session there.

Modifying the posters – Murali

Sign-up forms to be created – Murali

Contact Rogue - set up meeting with Ruth/Carolyn by the end of this week

Publicity material to be created

Presentations need to be obtained from the present SOH team

Check with current runners if they want to help with the coaching/support from Team Asha


2. Clinton Global InitiativeGaurav

Can we participate at this conference as this seems to be a great opportunity to partner with the Clinton global initiative program.

This is the information received from the Asha-wide fundraising team

AfE - Austin chapter register themselves to attend this conference in Feb 2009. Caveat seems to be that people applying to the conference need to be an active student or group of students still enrolled in college. Hope you have a few such people at your chapter. That person/group will present a single AfE project to showcase of how we work & what we do. We present a larger context - to engage other NGO's to work with us. Please note that the first deadline has passed but the next deadline is on Dec 12.”

 

3. Fundraising Team

We need to create a fundraising team to work actively on fundraising

 Gaurav will send out an email to the group to check with who all are interested


4. Meeting location and agenda and attendance

There is a drop in attendance at meetings. What can we do?

Can we meet at public libraries? – Gaurav

Discussed the pros/cons of having the meetings at UT - Parking is a big issue

Can we have a floating list of things to discuss?

TCC would be a good option?
