3. Update by Sanjeev on the agenda for the Asha Conference & on Asha
fellowships:

More details about the conferece could be found at:
http://www.ashanet.org/conferences/asha-14/

Asha Fellowships:
- Asha chapters provide personal financial support to some grassroots
social workers. But, over the years, due to various reasons, these
volunteers (including Sandeep Pandey, an Asha founder) have fallen
through the programme & are not receiving any support from the
chapters.

There is going to be a discussion during the conference to set up an
Asha-wide fellowship programme with guidelines similar to ones
currently present for projects. This programme needs to be set up to
take over the funding of these volunteers once the chapter has decided
not to.

Sidhamma is one such Asha fellow (supported by Asha) whom Austin Asha
is considering to support. She has been working as a grassroots
volunteer for many years with little support from outside. Her husband
supports her currently. She has worked with the Irula Bharati Trust.
More info about this organization could be found here:

Sanjeev has to coordinate with Sidhamma & give a proposal. Once the
process is in place, Asha Austin will have a discussion about this.
