1) Asha's Tsunasmi projects - by Vinod and Sanjeev
 
Project status
- Vinid explained the relief work done by ASHA volunteers
- Fun&Learn TOy chest - by Asha chennai need $30000 for 300kids. This
project will be sponsored by Tsunami-ASHA donations. (not by
individual chapter)
 Need stewards to maintain day-day activities on this projects.
-Total of $180000 donations collected by ASHA towards the relief
efforts of Tsunami
 
2)  Marathon runners- by Sanjeev
-Sanjeev,vinod,karthick,ganesh and Kunal completed 3M half marathon
successfully, Congrats to them
- Sanjeev responsible for ASHA cheering team for Freescale marathon.
As most of the volunteers (17 runners) participating on this long 26.2
mile marathon, we expect a group of cheering squads to motivate and
help our runners to complete this tiresome marathon.
- Expected some of the volunteers to co-run with the runners from
18miles-20miles limit
-Non runners like Raman(6561246),Rama(2282152) will be on the cheering
team with Sanjeev(he s not running Freescale ; he completed 3M
marathon)
- Interested friends and volunteers to contact sanjeev for more
information for cheering activities, to buy things etc
-Sanjeev is the main coordinator for cheering team
 
3) Shrishti academy - by Vinod
- Yet to receive response from the SA for the updates
- Bus tranportation expenses is the main part they expect from aSHA.
- Asha Yale and ASHA UIC shown interest to SA proposal. Vinod -need to
find out more info about
 
4) SAC update-by Santhosh
 
-Prasanna Jyothi sent greeting card signed by all kids to ASHA and
their group pic
-One more kid joined on PJ. PJ will send the profile to Santhosh.
-Next year more students expected to join PJ.
- Anita told that new person(name unknown) would like to coordinate
some project. She can join in ASS or PJ due to heavy workloads.
 
-ASS - Karthick need to send updates about ASS on next meeting
 
-BJSA -Raman and Sriram working to get more donors.
-updated the spreadsheet with latest sponsor;s info ,sanjeev.
- Contacted those interested sponsors who signedup on the weblist and
sent info about the children. 6 sponsors yet to pay the donations
- 20 children sponsored and need 21 more sponsors out of 41 children
-Received paper receipt for the check sent on Nov04 from Daulat Ram,
coord for BJSA
 
5) Treasurer - by VInod
-Rama Rao kotla decided to transfer the Treasurer's responsiblities
due to personal reasons.
- Raman agreed to take over role of Treasurer. He wil manage ASHA
AUSTIN treasurer responsibilities, tracking,maintaining ,coordinating
the financial matters.
-Vinod will collect checks and mails from the UT mailbox, deliver to
RAMAN on every meeting as Raman is not student of UT.
-Vinod wil setup meeting with Rama Rao and Raman,vinod for successful
transfer or responsibilities on next few weeks.
 
6) Discussions on BOOKs
-To discuss about Sandeep's article about value of education, Sandeep
is AMD fellow n INdia.
Sanjeev wil send the link for the above article also send the eBook on
Gandhi's dream works for underprivileged people.
