From time to time Asha Bangalore organizes fun events. These serve the purpose of providing a fun-filled day to the underpivileged kids. It also gives them a chance to interact with the others and this helps their confidence. The outings include trips to the zoo, museums and visits to other schools and organisations.

Some of our events introduce new volunteers to our various programs. For example, the recently conducted Team Asha 8K run brought together runners from across Bangalore, volunteers, children from various schools supported by Asha - including our hosts, the Valley school, for an energising, fun-filled event that marks the start the start of the Asha Bangalore marathon program for 2009.

Some of these events also serve the purpose of fundraisers for Asha. We have raised in excess of Rs. 30,000 from our events and these funds were used by the projects supported by Asha-Bangalore such as Kumaraswamy Layout Government School, Ashwini Charitable Trust, and Concern for Woking Children.
