Its going to be nearly 6 months since I quit my job as a VLSI CAD engineer and chased my dreams. My biggest fear when I got out was not about security or earnings etc. I feared if I would just sit and laze around at home! On the contrary, I have not even found time to document enough about what has been happening!

Runner's High (www.runnershigh.in) is an effort inspired by my interaction with Team Asha and as an entity closely works with Asha's projects. Finally, after years of running and fund raising for Asha, I directly interact and contribute to the efforts. Now, the fundraising and running makes more sense than ever before! Our efforts through Runner's High and Team Asha (www.runnershighkids.blogspot.com) has been a learning experience! It has been challenging and also every bit worthwhile to be doing full time what I always wanted to.

Starting from a marathon in Feb, 2005 I have been fundraising for Team Asha every year through a major running event. This year I plan to do a 48 hour run - This will be my longest run (in terms of distance and time) till date and in all probability the toughest as well. As part of the training, I did a 20 hour run at the Bangalore Ultra(www.bangaloreultra.com) . I had intended to do a 24 hour run at the Ultra, but it was a humbling experience. Looks like I have quite a bit to surpass to be able to do a 48 hour run!
Through this effort, I hope to
- Create awareness about Asha, build local support and raise funds for the cause
- Help encourage more folks with no exercise history to come out and run/exercise

Please join me in this effort and contribute here. I hope to raise at least Rs. 2 Lakhs through this effort.
