Iffath Mansoor

Hi,

Thank you for visiting my page J

I am training to run the Kaveri Marathon and Bangalore Ultra as part of Team Asha. I’m really excited about running my 1st half marathon (21 kms) on 18th September 2011 and 25 kms on 13th November 2011.

I have always enjoyed running but never attempted more than the 200mts distance. I heard about Runners High earlier this year and joined their training program. I couldn’t even run 1km at a stretch when I started, but thanks to Runners High I am on my way to running the 21k on the banks of the Kaveri.

Today, running has become an integral part of my life and I want to make it count! I’m passionate about the development sector and try my best to contribute in as many ways as I can. Team Asha gives me an opportunity to make a difference by doing what I enjoy – running.

I’m trying to raise money to make help Team Asha bring a positive change in the lives of the underprivileged in India. Asha is a zero-overhead, volunteer-driven organization that strongly believes that holistic education is critical for socio-economic change

My goal is to raise Rs. 500 for every km that I run at the Kaveri Trail. This is my first attempt at raising a fund through running, and I would be happy if you could support me achieve my goal, and encourage me to go run that further distance for Team Asha!!!

I can be reached on iffathmansoor@gmail.com. Be sure to visit our blog for the latest about the team: Team Asha Blog.

Thanks to 11 supporters who have helped me raise Rs.17750 towards my goal of Rs.23,000
