Invictus (by William Ernest Henley)
Out of the night that covers me,
black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
for my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance,
my head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
looms but the horror of the shade,
and yet the menace of the years
finds, and shall find, me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
how charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

I am not a superman (or superwoman in my case). But my soul is unconquered, hence
Invictus.
I believe in humanity, and in the power of exhilaration, that drives us to be what we are.
If only that was enough to bring about peace, the world would be a tidier place.
But alas, it is not.
This page is not for a plea, or a call for forgetful donation.
The children of Asha don't need that.
They need an understanding soul who wouldn't severalize them from the rest of the world because of the
background. They don't need the sympathy of others to belittle them. They are proud individuals who just need a
little push, especially the invisible ones☺.
I am Paroma Roy, and I hereby pledge to be an invisible bearer of hope to bring about peace in the lives of those
who have lost a little bit of that.
I am training to run the Kaveri Marathon and the Bangalore
Ultra as part of Team Asha
Please contact me to sponsor my run and help me reach my fundraising target.
Thanks to 5 supporters who have helped me raise Rs.22900 towards my goal of Rs.21,500
