Team Asha,
Salute to you. We enjoyed running in Team Asha 8K 2009. It was a different experience that we did not get in the marathon and we friends had a words exchanged within us, "We would have missed such a wonderful event, if we have not come here...".

The entire Team Asha was supporting, encouraging and cheering up... This brought whole atmosphere charged up for the valley turning into a dream land.Meeting again our 76 years young friend Janardhana, brought up the spirit within us much more.

"Running with Team Asha is contagious, you catch a running flu". We already have got that flu within us from Asha. We friends wish to run with and for Asha... We also thank all the people who made this event grand success!

It was a wonderful event. Believe it or not, I woke in the morning with 2 minds - I had to ride till Kanakapur road & then RUN & ride back. Felt it was big effort. Finally decided to do it. I reckon it was one of my best decisions. I ran, enjoyed it thoroughly & felt ashamed at my thinking after meeting Janardhan Sir - he rode a bicycle for the same distance as me & ran the 8k also. Salute to him.
About the event: I was overawed by the enthusiasm of all runners & Valley school fraternity. Ananya, Thulir kids were also wonderful. I also got to meet up with a few NGOs SATTVA, Swagath. It was really a very satisfying Run for me. The T-Shirt is in my cup board as a wonderful memorabilia of the Run, I wanna run with this T shirt for my next Run :-)
