I. Project website (Jayanath)

    * Website updated
    * Linked to Asha wide project database
    * New template
    * Budget items highlighted
    * Progress in recent years

Action Required – (JK) Email project stewards about the new format

II. Vijaya update (Sandipan)

Sandipan presented Q&A discussion that he had with project partner, Vijaya. This was unofficial discussion, and they requested not to put this discussion on public domain.

Gyandeep – JK will present in next meeting

Shristi – Puneet will do site visit (next month)

CRC – got FCRA

Sevalaya – Now, modified budget is $25k instead of initial proposal of $30k because Asha SV has cap of 25k on inter-chapter funding disbursal; Sevalaya will cover the balance of $5k from their general funding pool (consists of donations primarily from individuals).

Action Required

(Bala) Prepare schedule for projects discussion for upcoming meetings

(Bala/JK) Highlight the projects on webpage that are in need of stewards or co-stewards

IV. Support City schools (Jai)

Jai discussed the idea of supporting school in cities.

    * additional tutoring classes for subjects like Math (teacher spending 2 hrs, any student can come and ask – like office hours)
    * music teacher (after school) or some other extra-curricular activities/ aspects for personality development

Jai is willing to provide monetary support.

Action Required – (All project stewards) look into this opportunity of increasing the scope of education in their respective projects

V. Richard Blum grant

Prof. Sidhu talked about the possibility of getting Richard C. Blum grant.

Action Required – (Anitha, Fundraising coordinator) to work with Prof. Sidhu, and start the application procedure
