Thank you for joining the movement and taking on an active role in helping others in need. With more than 180 million illiterate children in India, as a larger community we can achieve extraordinary things through our collective energies.

Beyond supporting Peddling Hope, I hope for your continued involvement on issues of poverty. By becoming a more engaged participant, we can truly achieve long lasting change.

The Cause

Through a partnership with Project Guria and Asha for Education, we hope to help children through education.

One Year Informal Education Provided by Guria:

• $18 for two children
• $45 for five children
• $90 for ten children

One Year Formal Education Provided by Guria:

• $30 for one child
• $60 for two children

The Charity

Asha for education, a non-profit organization started in 1991 by Berkeley students aims to bring socio-economic change by providing education to under privileged children in India. Asha, meaning hope, funds schools, vocational training, health centers and other initiatives making it easier for impoverished children to go to school. Being an entirely volunteer based organization, Asha has extremely minimal overhead costs and has been rated as the best charity for three consecutive years by charity navigator an independent organization rating more than 5000 charities world wide.
