Notes

* I-house - will book for November 5, 2011; tech rehearsal - Sunday, October 30 (weekend of Diwali)
* Santhosh - does similar work; a

* Awantika Vidhya Bhavan proposal
o has expanded from K-5 to encompass 6-12
o 476 students
o parents mostly farmers and day labourers
o used to teach English - now trying to switch to an English medium school (difficult)
o have an infirmary on site
o 18 teachers
o have increased number teachers; some teachers salaries have been increased, because they went through extra training
o we can either just fund teachers or fund teachers and accountant
o they're starting a small dairy farm - hopefully this will be a source of income for them
o they need more classrooms and are getting the funding for that from the International Adoption Agency
o last year we paid $30,000 (a year and a half of salary - part of it was backpaying salaries)
o last year we warned them that we can't sustain this level of funding
o plan: fund them $15,000 for this year and tell them come back to us next year and we'll see what we can do; we'll check up on them in 6 months; ask them to look around for more funding
o the salaries they're paying are extremely low
o if they don't find funding, they'll defer their teachers' salaries
o this year, asking for teachers salaries: 1010400.00Rs

accounting salaries: 36000.00 Rs (an increase)

PFEC: 125568.00 Rs

TOTAL: $26,283.17
