Funds raised: $535!!

Thank you all!

Sunday, 21st October 2007

It was a great day's play on Sunday and I think we all enjoyed the games and the weather immensely. I want to thank all the team members for their enthusiasm, sportsmanship and support. I wish all the teams could have won, you all deserved to win. We especially appreciate your patience and understanding given that we had a last minute change of venue due to a mix-up in the reservations.

For those that missed the ending, the final was fiercely competitive and was played between Vermont Law School and the Islamic Society of Burlington. Play ended at 2-2 and the winner was decided on penalty kicks. Vermont Law School won the tournament and the prizes. Hope you guys enjoy your beer!!

Your registrations and donations helped us raise $535 for Tomorrow's Foundation, the project that Asha-Burlington is currently supporting. We couldn't have done this without you.

We will plan a bigger and better tournament next year and would love to see you all again. We wish you all luck and good things in the year to come!

Many thanks are due:

  • To all the players and supporting families, whose commitment and generosity made the day such a success.
  • To the Asha-Burlington volunteers who went to great lengths, even with last minute crises, to stage the tournament and make it enjoyable for all.
