Asha for Education, Central NJ raise funds for its projects in a number of ways: Individual donations, corporate donations, sale of merchandise (T-shirts, calendars, mugs, greeting cards, etc.), fundraising dinners, Indian classical music and dance concerts, popular music concerts and many others. In the process, we also promote Indian culture over here.

  • Team Asha Marathon Program 2011 (April 10, 2011): Asha for Education Central NJ chapter is excited to invite you for another year of fun with training and running a marathon for a cause. Every year, young and old participants train and run the races with a commitment to raise funds for under privileged children in India. It is a great oppurtunity to learn about our chapter and ways in which you can contribute. This year, we welcome you to join us in participating in Team Asha Marathon program 2011 and begin fundraising for Asha CNJ's projects in India. 100% of proceeds will benefit educational projects for underprivileged children in India. Join us in making education a gift that every child deserves.

  • Heartbeatz - A Bollywood Music Extravaganza (April 10, 2011): Join us with family and friends for a fun night with live Bollywood Music featuring NJ's most popular band "Jersey Rhythms". Jersey Rhytms (JR) is a highly entertaining "all manual" South Asian pop orchestra that have performed in the USA and Canada.   • JaiHo 2010 - The Hottest Show of the Year (June 12, 2010 in NJ): The Grammy, Oscar and Golden Globe award-winning composer of Slumdog Millionaire and legendary Indian maestro kicks off his world tour with shows in New York, New Jersey and Fairfax, Virginia this June!Asha for Education NYCNJ, Central NJ, Chicago and DC chapters are participating with organizers of AR Rehman show. The proceeds of 5% of the tickets sales sold through Asha will be donated to Asha for Education.

  • 2009 Marathon First Run (June 7, 2009): Our marathon program starts with a bang on 7th June at Johnson's Park! Come join the fun! Meet the program coords, coaches and fellow runners at 7am. Click here for details and location. Everyone is welcome! Please pay your marathon training fees before the 7th so there is no delay in sending out your personalized training schedules!

  • Battle of the Minds - RIGSA/Asha Quiz (May 30, 2009): Come join RIGSA and Asha CNJ for a night of fun and entertainment. Click here for details and location. This event is sponsored by the Rutgers University GSA.

  • GSA-Sponsored Dinner and Dance Party (May 2, 2009): Come join us for a night of good food and music (for free) this Saturday at the Rutgers GSA Lounge on College Ave at 7:30pm. Learn about what we do. Find out about our successes this semester and out hopes for the eagerly anticipated marathon program.

  • Surbahaar 2009 - Bollywood Night (April 11, 2009): Our eagerly awaited annual musical extravaganza featuring Hidden Gems, a New Jersey based karaoke band, and several dance groups.
