Asha for Education is an international non-profit organization committed to providing basic education for underprivileged children in India in the belief that education is a critical requisite for socio-economic change.

Till date, Asha has supported more than 385 different child education projects spanning 24 states in India. In terms of project funding, almost $4,000,000 has been disbursed to these projects since Asha's inception. In 2002 alone, Asha chapters raised and disbursed more than $1,000,000 to over 200 projects.

Dear Friends,

I am running the Giralda Farms 10k on November 13th. I need to raise $600 ($100/mile) in order to achieve my goal. Please donate to a good cause! By donating you can help.

Every year Asha for Education, Central NJ chapters supports 8-10 projects and disburses approximately $100,000 per year.

I am also co-president of the ASHA club at my school. We are still working on our website but visit it also once in a while. It is: ashaclub.org
