What is Asha?
Asha, which means "hope", is dedicated to the support of basic education of underprivileged children in India. Asha is a non-profit organization and has more than 35 chapters in US, India and other countries.

Asha believes that education is the most effective means to solve the problems of poverty, population explosion and bring about long-term socio-economic change

How does Asha work?
Asha collaborates with non-governmental (non-profit) organizations in India to:
        - Raise awareness of social issues related to illiteracy and poverty
        - Provide funding and support educational projects.

How does Asha raise funds?
By arranging fundraising events such as concerts, panel discussions, dinner galas, etc., as well as through corporate sponsors and individual donors.
