Asha-Chennai Monthly Meetings
Asha Chennai always has a meeting on the third Sunday of each month at 9:00 am IST. This is held at difference volunteers' residences/offices. If you are in Chennai and would like to participate please call one of our volunteers to find the location. This would be a good starting point to get an overall idea of all the activities of Asha Chennai. The agenda and the minutes of these meetings would be distributed on asha-chennai-friends@yahoogroups.com Email group. Asha-Chennai Project Specific Meetings
Besides the monthly meetings Asha-Chennai would hold local meetings on an as needed basis. The meetings (venue and agenda) would be announced on asha-chennai-friends@yahoogroups.com. These meetings may be called by any volunteer. These would typically be working meetings related to specific projects.
Asha-Chennai Worldwide Conference
Since many of the donors and well-wishers of Asha Chennai are based abroad we plan to have half-yearly meetings to update everyone about the activities of the projects as well answer any questions that the donors or well-wishers may have. We would reserve a bridge and the meeting will be in the form of a teleconference. Donors to Asha Chennai, representatives from Asha chapters in US and others located elsewhere in the world would be invited to participate. We intend to have the first of these meetings in March of 2005. We will post information on this on asha-chennai-friends@yahoogroups.com Email group and other Asha mailing lists.
Events
Asha Conference - 2003
Asha Chennai will be hosting Asha Conference 2003 from Dec. 25th to 28th. The conference will be held at the IIT- Chennai campus.
Asha South Fellows' Conference
Asha South Fellows' Conference is being organised by Asha Chennai on the 12th and 13th of October.
RightStart
The RightStart Teachers' training program was successfully conducted between September 27th and October 3rd.
Vanavil
Asha Chennai successfully conducted a Painting festival, Vanavil, for children from Asha supported schools. The function was held on the 20th April 2003 at Urur Olcott School.
