Asha for Education is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization founded in 1991 and comprised of students and professionals across the U.S. as well   as in India. Asha for Education funds grass-roots-level educational projects in India that attempt to improve the future of children. By giving these children education, occupational and social skills, these projects help in improving the community as a whole. Asha for Education is currently funding more than two hundred projects of this nature all over India. Hundred percent of all donations received go directly towards the projects.

Asha Cincinnati is a new chapter of “Asha for Education”, a non-profit voluntary organization dedicated to socio-economic change in India mainly using the medium of education. We are a secular and apolitical organization structured to run with minimum bureaucracy.

The Cincinnati chapter was started in April 2003. Our aim is to support the education of underprivileged children in India. Our activities mainly include fundraising and projects. Contribution to Asha can be in the form of donation, volunteering for events or participation in projects.  We appreciate every single effort to support our cause.

Our volunteer meetings are open to anyone interested in social and developmental issues.
