What’s New

  • Work An Hour (WAH): Based on the simple concept of participants donating one hour’s worth of their earnings, WAH essentially reaches out to projects whose expenditure is mostly fixed and infrastructural in nature and also higher than what one Asha chapter can raise alone.   • Funding update: Asha CO has approved the funding for Ajol’s six month extension and Vidyodaya’s 2011 extension.
  • New PO Box: Asha CO has a new PO Box address (please see at the end of the page), please use it for future correspondence.
  • Vidyodaya Site Visit: Vidyodaya has a new site visit report, click here to read.
  • Geetanjali 2010: Be a part of Colorado’s 1st ever Indian live music & dance extravaganza held in an amphitheater, on Saturday, Sept 18, 6:30 p.m at Civic Green Park, 9370 Ridgeline Blvd., Highlands Ranch, Colorado .   • Ajol: Asha Colorado has decided to fund Ajol for 2010-11, starting with funding first six months and measuring the progress before sending the next six months funding.

Asha Colorado Milestones

  • Geetanjali 2010 was a big success, more than 1000 people enjoyed the evening of dance and music under the stars!
  • Asha Colorado raised more than $1200.00 for WAH 2010
  • MGRS Project raises $4320.00 to support 21 children
  • Western Union Foundation donated $73,000.00 towards building the school for the Sebama Project. Sebama Project School Building “Asha Nilayam” construction completed
  • JDS Project provides vocational training to girls in Uttar Pradesh; Saidat Sewing Center and Hiradpur Center operational.
  • SNS Project provides 175 books in each of 10 schools
  • 20 teachers are provided training in the SNS Project

Asha Colorado needs volunteers to help us reach more children in India. There are volunteer opportunities to match everyone’s skills and time availability.

Become an Asha Star . Asha Stars is an innovative program where we bring donors and projects together to create greater level of involvement.

We need donations to fund our increasing number of projects.
