Asha-India December 27-30, 2002 Conference
The upcoming Asha-India conference will be held at Timbaktu Collective, a longtime asha project, and one of the receipients of funds from this year's WAH. The Asha meetings in india are eye-opening experiences, and enable us to strike a closer rapport with our partners in india. They can help us greatly in appreciating the diversity of projects we support, and the diversity of issues, viewpoints and approaches that go along with them.
The agenda for this meeting include some very important sessions on issues central to our work. Having volunteers from the U.S. and elsewhere attending such meetings and interacting with asha-india volunteers helps build cohesiveness within ourselves as a group. It benfits both the chapters in india as well as those outside by increasing the exchange of ideas and making it easier for us to commmunicate.
