Education Philosophy (Presentation by Basavaraju)

We believe that education must develop confidence such that one can live anywhere and learn skills for life. One should know how the resources around and learn how to share resources amongst ourselves. Education should help in knowing the world and develop a person’s humanity. Education should strive to be more secular and scientific in nature. One should have the freedom and feel that they can live anywhere. Education should not become a commodity and there should be more state intervention in the area of education. We teach geography in classes. What is this there for? It needs to make us aware of resources and the sharing of resources amongst everyone. Today education is removed from the life of people. It should start from the day to day life of people and be linked with our everyday lives.
