In the rains starting in the second week of September, many of the low-lying districts in West Bengal are facing a spectre of flood. This has caused an extensive loss of property and human suffering. Baikunthapur Tarun Sangha, in the Kultali block in Sunderban is trying to organize relief for the local people. Baikunthapur Tarun Sangha(BTS) is an exemplary organisation working in the area in all fields of social progress : education, healthcare and environment. See the links to the left for more details about the BTS project. For the many years, Asha, AID and PPI ave been working in hand with BTS to bring about a major change in the area. Please respond to this relief call by donating. All donations made will be routed to BTS. Donations made in US are 100% tax-exempt.
