Here are the projects that we funded in the past:
Marrur

Funding Year: 2003-2004
State: Andhra Pradesh
Project Focus:
To provide funding to expand classrooms at a village school and upgrade it from an elementary school to a middle school.
Benefits/ Impact: Hundreds of children will not have to walk for miles to attend the nearest high school which is 4 km away. This will encourage them to continue their studies & reduce drop-outs.

Saath

SaathFunding Year: 2000-2002
State: Gujarat
Project Focus:
To Launch Non formal education centers for slums in Ahmedabad for primary school and non-school going children
Benefits/ Impact: Around 200 children have attended pre-school, supplementary and special classes where they are given food, undertake basic education, and participate in educational projects.

MGM Rotary

MGM RotaryFunding Year: 2003-2004
State: Kerala
Project Focus:
To open a center that provides basic care for otherwise neglected mentally retarded children of the Kanhangad area.
Benefits/ Impact: Around 65 mentally handicapped children have been provided with ongoing training, education, healthcare, and one time meals. Many have shown a marked improvement after attending school.

Shartul

Funding Year: 1998
State: Maharashtra
Project Focus:
To provide resources for the care and development of children and young adults in Mumbai with special needs.
Benefits/ Impact: Through Shartul, spastic and handicapped children have access to special toy libraries, safe playgrounds, and centers for the handicapped.

Odanadi

OdanadiFunding Year: 2002
State: Karnataka
Project Focus:
To provide for the rehabilitation of children of sex-workers in Karnataka by providing them with education, food, and shelter.
Benefits/ Impact: Over 400 girls, most of them minors, have been rescued and provided with education, food, and shelter. As many as 350 women have been rehabilitated with alternative livelihoods into mainstream society

Manaviya

ManaviyaFunding Year: 2002
State: Uttar Pradesh
Project Focus:
To provide education to the children of migrant workers
Benefits/ Impact: In addition to regular education, students are provided supplementary education on agriculture, ayurveda, bee-keeping, and dairy farming. It is expected that after they are educated, they will return to their village to contribute meaningfully to the local area.
