Description:MCP Warm-up Run & Breakfast

Come to Camp Rosslyn and join your MCP team mates and coaches for a short run and last minute marathon instructions. This is a perfect opportunity to run your final warm up and pick up your race packet. If you want to visit the MCM Expo, it is a short Metro ride across town. Afterwards, you can go home and relax in preparation for the big day. PLEASE NOTE: Take the North Moore Street exit from the Rosslyn Metro station. As you approach Camp Rosslyn, the parking lot will have a sign for 1551 N. Lynn Street. This is the official street address although the actual location on GPS/Google is slightly different. Look for the MCP Banner.

Where is it? If you type: “1631 North Lynn Street 22209” at http://www.maps.google.com, and zoom in, you will see the precise location of the parking lot where the camp will be located. You can also go to the following map that is zoomed into the exact location. We recommend that you take Metro.

NOTE: If you drive to Camp Rosslyn on Saturday, you MUST print the special parking pass and show it to the parking lot attendant for entry and free parking.

For those of you who have been training for the Marine Corps Marathon, the big day is almost here! Sunday October 25 2009! This is what you've been waiting for. The sweet spot, the reward, the 800 pound gorilla of running :). Where months of training and grueling long runs in all kinds of weather are going to pay off. Hope you have had a great training season, a good tapering period and you are now looking forward to 26.2 on Sunday.

Weather wise its looking like a made-to-order day for running the marathon with temps between 50-63 degrees and sunny. Make sure you get your friends and family to come out to support and cheer for you. If you are not running yourself come on out to show your support for your friends who are running!

Have a great run and finish like champions!
