We ask every donor to pledge a donation every month for a minimum period of six months. There is no restriction on the amount of donation. The money collected is used to support our partner groups' Projects of Asha Delhi. Asha Delhi volunteers monitor and participate in the activities of our projects. We receive quarterly reports from our partner groups of their activities. They are sent to the donors and are also available on our web-site. The Delhi Marathon Team under the aegis of Delhi Government, in association with Sports Management Group International is organizing the first Delhi International Marathon on February 12, 2006. The race will be flagged off at 7:00 am and the start/finish point will be India Gate.
Delhi International Marathon 2006 is working to raise at least Rupees 1 Crore for various charities. Amongst the seven charities selected by the organizers, ASHA is the only fully volunteer driven social organization. ASHA in India has 14 chapters working with several grassroots NGOs like Parivartan, Saakshar etc.
