Neha to redesign the picture to be put on the mugs. Abhishek to find out about T-shirts. 3.Google Ad sense: Index our web site to google. Ads will appear on our web site and a click on these ads will generate revenue for Asha Delhi. Abhishek to find out more about Google ad sense. Meantime, the chapter needs to decide whether we want ads to appear on our web site. 4.20% reservation project: A meeting was held on 8th April 2006. 100-125 children have been admitted into schools in the North and North-East districts. Meeting minutes will be posted on the yahoogroups. Meantime, we need to decide on how to proceed on this project. Basically three action items need to be finalized: A.Follow-up- how are the children who have been admitted to private schools faring? Are they being segregated? Are they able to cope up with the work load? Do they need help? B.Strengthen the program in the 3 districts and extend it other areas. C.Financial help for the children It was decided that follow up is very essential. The program should be strengthened in the existing districts. If Parivartan finds more volunteers, then the program can be extended to other areas of Delhi. Meantime, we need to write a project proposal to generate more funds. Many children badly need financial help. It was felt that we should not encourage dependence of the guardians/parents on Asha. Instead, Uday, suggested that we talk Pradeep, a Ashoka Fellow, who has implemented a social security scheme for the poor in Bhopal. The idea is to tie up spending to social security. Shopkeepers are roped into this scheme. If people in that area buy stuff from these shopkeepers, then the shopkeepers will donate x amount towards the social security corpus funds. The people can use borrow from these funds if need be. The details of the scheme need to be worked out. Asha Delhi to talk to Pradeep and see if it can be implemented in the districts where we are working on the 20% reservation project. 5.Publicity: Danny had written extensive reports on the 20% reservation project. Can we use them to generate some publicity for the program? Neha to do an initial write up. We need to find reporters/newspaper contacts. 6.MCD schools: We need to do a site visit to the school in Vasant Kunj. The survey forms need to be uploaded on to the Asha Delhi core yahoogroups.
