Siva asked him to get in touch with the webmaster so that he can get the password. For the time being, Siva will help in uploading the files on to the website. Ravishankar will also find out how to update the projects website with Asha Delhi project information. 2. Bank: Siva gave us the information for opening an Asha account with HDFC. basically we need: Trust deed from Lucknow Trustee deed resolution approving signatories- one of Asha Delhi members needs to attend Asha India meeting for this PAN number of the signatories 80G number of the organization we can also open an account with ICICI; however we need to find out what documents they need from us. 3. Reciept book: Need to print it ourselves once we have the bank account. 4. Auditing: We need an auditor to audit our accounts once we open the bank account. 5. Internship Program: Sanjay updated us on the internship applications. Ms. Sreyashi Dey from US had touched base with us regarding an internship program for her son in the summer. Sanjay is coordinating it between them and Saakshar. 6. National open school: Some of the people associated with MS3 project in Kanpur want to take the national open school exam. Asha Kanpur had asked whether we can register with National Open School as this will help in getting information about the exams, syllabus etc. Asha Delhi will be exploring on what needs to be done to register the chapter with this organisation. 7. New Project: Anita Balasubramanian has passed on an information about a project in Khan Market area. A site visit to the project was agreed upon. 8. Depending upon the funds, we can either expand Saakshar or start a new project alongside Saakshar. 9. Adopting a school: Siva explained how Bangalore Chapter had adopted two schools in Bangalore. Kala to explore similar process with MCD school. Pavan suggested adopting the MCD school near Saakshar where the children from Saakshar are enrolled. Saakshar is currently running evening tuitions for these children as they have difficulties with the curriculum. Pavan suggested that we can adopt the school and improve their teaching standards, if possible. 10. Painting competition: Based on the similar competition conducted by Bangalore. Siva gave us a brief overview of what they do in Bangalore. August 15th was fixed as a tentative date. We can get in touch with Saakshar and other projects. We need to do the following: Book a room, arrange for food, judges, sound system, transport for the children, painting materials, print a brochure. Siva said he will send us their sponsorship proposal. Funds can be raised through advertisements. 11. Saakshar: An annual report from Saakshar is needed. 12. Satellite Chapter in Noida: Pavan Reddy suggesting starting a new chapter in Noida as there are many volunteers based on that area. At this point, it was agreed that the volunteers will meet on a regular basis in Noida and as well as attend the meeting at IIT, Delhi.
