Project Jagruti

Project Jagruti focuses on motivating the children and their families for acquiring basic formal education in villages around Salarpur region in Uttar Pradesh. It has been observed that each such village has an elementary school, however, these schools do not have enough attendance due to lack of awareness towards education and socio-economic constraints of the villagers.

The aim of this project is two fold: to motivate the villagers to understand the importance of education and, secondly, to provide necessary means to the needy and eager children to help them gain access to the available venues of formal education.

A volunteer will be appointed to carry out house-to-house campaign to spread the awareness towards importance of education and the associated benefits. The volunteer will also collect information over the probable obstacles, which hamper the children from attending the school. Adequate basic educational accessories will be provided to children on a case-to-case basis to ensure that they go to school.
