We a group of volunteers from service organizations such as Asha who are friends of thousands of very cute and bright children in India. The only crime of these children is that they are children of sex workers.
Why is being a child of sex worker such a harsh punishment? Why does going to school require courage and determination? We created the system in which they live and it is our obligation to fix the system and give them back their life.
The challenge is overwhelming in terms of its geographical scope and variety. However, there are many people in India who are thinking up creative approaches to solve the problem.
We intend of complement their strengths and understanding of the root causes of the problems with our reach and resources. We hope to achieve this by making progress on two fronts: (1) document the issues associated with children of sex workers, and (2) improve grass roots organizations’ efficiency and understanding by facilitating interactions between them.
The vision is developing with time as we are gaining more experience. Here is the July 2003 Version
