Work An Hour - 2010
Work An Hour, or WAH, as it is popularly known, is a simple concept. We ask you to symbolically contribute one hour of your time towards the cause of children's education by donating an hour's worth of your salary or more.
Asha Organization, every year evaluates projects affliated to various chapters across Asha and picks winners to be a part of this fund-raising WAH event. Asha-Irvine is proud to be a part of another project, Hariksha, selected for this event for the second consecutive year following Olcott Memorial High School in 2009.
The Hariksha learning center focuses on providing basic developmental skills in hygiene, motor skills, physical therapy, special education and other kinds of therapy as appropriate, to children with CP/MR. Further, the learning center helps its children in obtaining eligible benefits from the Government of Tamil Nadu
