Asha Kansas City is a non-profit organization and is a completely volunteer driven organization, comprising of dedicated individuals from this area, striving to make a difference to the society. We believe that education is one of the primary factors in shaping a child’s future and by extension, future of the entire country.

Asha Kansas City works towards promoting the education of underprivileged children in India by providing financial assistance and support to the NGOs focused on education projects. Volunteers of Asha work closely with the project partners in India, while locally organizing fundraisers and community awareness events. Colors of India, a popular event in the Area, is Asha Kansas City’s primary fundraiser, which directly helps support several education projects in India.

Asha’s Greater Kansas City Chapter was formed in September 2008 and is comprised of volunteers from all walks of life. The objective of the group has been to mobilize and empower the local community to collectively support and provide financial assistance to grassroots level educational movement in India. The organization is currently looking for volunteers to be part of the movement.
