Do you ever wonder why we rarely see South Asians and South Asian
Americans in the media.  So often we are underrepresented or
misrepresented.  Here is an opportunity to change that!  Join us as we
awaken Stories from the Belly, with Peggy Myo-Young Choy through Asian
American dance and movement techniques.  Refuse marginalization!  Come
and discover original text in your own body.  Learn how to speak your
own stories, and create your own representation!

This Asian American Dance Workshop is cosponsored by New Canon
Performance Workshop, the Asian American Student Union, the Asian
American Studies Program, and WUD Performing Arts Committee.  This event
is also a part of UWs 10th Annual Asian American Month Celebration.
