ASHA: Invitation to Open House

Dear Friends of Asha,

I am writing to invite you to an informal ASHA OPEN HOUSE this week.

Date: August 7, 1999 
Day: Saturday 
Time: 5:00 PM 
Venue: Memorial Union, 800 Langdon St., UW-Madison 
(Please look up TITU for room number as you enter the Union)

The Open House has two objectives:

1.      To tell you about Asha and its activities with a short (15 minutes)
presentation.
2.      To hear your opinions in a roundtable discussion on how to enhance
community involvement in the activities of Asha-Madison.

In brief, Asha is a voluntary, not-for-profit organization that strives to 
bring about social change in India by providing basic education to the 
underprivileged children. The first Asha chapter was started at Berkeley
in 1991. Today, at the age of 8 years, Asha has over 35 chapters worldwide. 

Your presence at the ASHA OPEN HOUSE on August 7 will be greatly
appreciated as we try to build stronger links with the Indian community in
Madison. I would be delighted if you could please confirm your attendance
