ASHA: Work An Hour

Hello everyone !
	We're into the last few days of the Asha Work-An-Hour '99 (WAH)
campaign. Work-An-Hour is an event where you symbolically work for one
hour out of about 2000 working hours in a year, to provide basic education
to millions of underprivileged children in India. The money raised by this
event will go to three well-researched educational projects in India. WAH
'98 had raised $30000. This year's goal is to raise $40000 by Aug 16. As
of now around $34000 has already been raised. 
	I appeal to each one of you to donate atleast one hour of your 
salary if you have not yet done so, as a symbol of your support for our 
worthy cause. Make your checks payable to "Asha for Education-WAH" and
mail them to the following address:
		Asha for Education-WAH
		23608, NE 45th Place
		Redmond WA 98053	 
	You can make donations online on the Work-An-Hour website at 
www.workanhour.com. Please complete the sign up form at the site and
indicate Madison as the chapter affiliation. This keeps track of the 
number of pledges received and the from which chapter they came from. More 
information regarding the three projects is available on the WAH website.
Please publicise the event among your friends and colleagues.
