Citizens of the earth,
People of Asha,

We made steel boats float.
We dispelled darkness with light!
We flew objects heavier than air!!
We put people on the moon!!!
Universal primary education in India by 2050 is next.

The WAH contribution represents a great spectacle
-a perfect alignment of personal lives with the mission for
education.
Already 850 participants including 200 volunteers, from 29
chapters
have come together beating last year's records. Great personal
sacrifices are being made by people everywhere saying "we
believe".

Seeing it in the context of the long vision presented below,
we know Asha's catalytic role is bound to make history.
Let it be known a 300 years from now, there lived a people,
that cared, dared and delivered.

On August 16th, from 9-10 AM, we will have communion.
No matter where we are, we shall unite in action
and spirit to reach a milestone enroute to our mission.

Long vision
=========

1900 India enters the century with her millions facing
unspeakable adversity.

1950 Independence movement overcomes enormous odds.
A strong and peaceful foundation is laid for India's children to
grow up with dignity.

2000 India's children prepare for the next movement.
Trust in public life is brought back on the path to recovery.
Asha, representing the larger body of consciencious and
resourceful
individuals, stirs the soul of the nation and ignites hope in
countless hearts. Asha volunteers set highest standards
in volunteer spirit and aim for solid results within their
lifetime.

2050 Asha's outstanding volunteers, in cooperation with many many

resourceful groups and individuals, manage to catalyze
universal primary education. Equal access, equal opportunity
to every child is a reality. India's tremendous potential
comes unleashed when 5000 years of inequality is bridged
by 50 years of sharp focus on basic education. Foundations
are laid for great educational institutions to exceed
the caliber of other great universities on earth.

2100 Educated population makes wise choices. Together.
Cleanliness goes mainstream in streets and in politics.
Strong and stable economy surges making poverty fade as a bad
dream.

2150 "Made In India" seal acquires respect and pride the
world over. People of Indo origin deliver world class results
in everything they touch.

2200 India is among the most evolved nations with the
largest functional democracy on earth. In body, mind and spirit,
India's children are second to none. Enlightened, actively
peaceful, and friendly, India becomes one of the most
sought after nations to visit, know and live.

2250 Population Inversion. India realizes the strength in
numbers.
Cures for medical ailments including cancer are
discovered by world class researchers cooperating
on an unprecedented scale.

2300 India the beautiful becomes a beacon for all mankind.
Beauty of nature in all its forms is revered. Children of India
forever remember the movement that brought the world
together and helped overcome ignorance, poverty and apathy.

Asha is recorded as one of mankind's greatest love affair.
